After the embarrassing news about the likes of Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Nelly Furtado being paid handsomely to play live for the ruling Gaddafi family of troubled Libya, Nelly Furtado has announced she’s going to give her fee from the concert away.
The ‘Maneater’ singer, who was paid a cool $1 million (£613,000) for a 45-minute set for the family in Italy in 2007, announced the news via her Twitter page, Twitter.com/nellyfurtado. She wrote that she would be “donating the $”. We’re checking Beyonce and Carey’s pages next…

After his comeback single ‘Just The Way You Are (Drunk At The Bar)’ received a less than flattering reception, former Westlife man Brian McFadden has taken to Twitter to defend it.
