After showing off his more tender side at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011, John Lydon is back to slagging people off, we read. This time his targets include Simon Cowell for his “effeminate dress sense”, Cheryl Cole because she “doesn’t have much going on in her head” and Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott, who “needs a bit more working class in him”. Usher is the latest pop star to say he’d like to play this summer’s royal wedding. The R&B superstar said, “I’m not the best at weddings, but I’m there if Prince Wills needs me. It would be nice to perform for the Queen” (Daily Mirror).
Rihanna is in for another nice pay day. According to reports today the singer has demanded $50,000 (£31,000) just to host a meet-and-greet at a party in Sydney on Saturday (March 5) night (Daily Telegraph).
