Electrical Centre, a store which other family members have a stake. However, insiders reveal that Sudhir’s move to attach Ssebagala’s property has sparked off a bitter war amongst members of the Ssebagala family.
Ugandan Asian tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia has launched a campaign to attach property belonging to Ssebagala and Sons Electrical Centre boss Meddie Ssebagala. Sources reveal that Sebagala stands to lose almost all of his properties that include mansions in Nitinda, Bukoto, Kawempe and other city suburbs, plus electrical centres around Kampala, vehicles, etc unless he clears outstanding debts worth over Shs7 billion to the tycoon. Currently, Sudhir’s Crane Bank, through Ken Associates bailiffs, runs the Ssebagala and Sons
This is because most of Meddie’s properties are intertwined in the Ssebagala family wealth. Thus Sudhir is set to battle family members that have a stake in Ssebagala’s wealth. Meddi Ssebagala is part of the historically wealthy Ssebagala family which included powerful men like Nasser Ntege Ssebagala, politician Latif Ssebagala, among others.
Attaching property in which other Ssebagala family members have a stake is biggest hurdle Sudhir is currently facing.
