Good Lyfe stars Moze Radio and Weasel TV have become the first artistes to be paid shs8 million for Club Unplugged show at Club Silk. The singers have been booked for the Unplugged show on Christmas Day. Usually artistes are paid between shs1 million to shs2.5 million to perform at the monthly live event in Silk Ocean.
Last month had Bebe Cool perform. Over the years all Ugandan artistes and some few Kenyans (including Amani) have performed at the event. Like werevealed yesterday Radio and Weasel- alongside Kalifah Aga Naga- have been by miles the most successful musicians of 2013.
And it is because of this that Nile Breweries and Club Silk management thought the talented duo were fit to bring the curtain down on this year. A Club beer source told Xclusive UG: “These boys have been off the hook, even representing the country at the prestigious BET awards in the States. We had to book them for the last Unplugged this year and at whatever cost.” Kalifah- famous for blockbusters such as Ndabilawa, Oyitanayo- will perform this month.
