Eagles Production are set to be dealt their first major blow since their split with telecommunications heavyweights MTN set to terminate their contract.
For the last ten years MTN has been the major sponsors of Eagles Production with a hefty package of over 100 million shillings a year. But all this could go to the blues with MTN now reviewing their contract.
The Corporate Affairs Manager MTN Justine Ntabgoba says they have instructedtheir lawyers to review the current running contract with Eagles Production. Unlike the split from the group by former members Sophie Nantongo, Haruna Mubiru Kitooke, Charles Ssekyewa and John Kyobe, this time round the band name has been altered and the departure of directors such as mesach Semakula and Ronald Mayinja could complicate any corporate arrangements.
Now sources tells us that Geoffrey Lutaya staying in Eagles with only his wife Irene Namatovu can’t guarantee MTN to keep pumping in money. Mayinja, Semakula and others formed Golden Production.
