Police has discovered two envelopes in which Joel Isabirye had kept the shs30 million that was stolen from his laptop bag by his wife Rebecca Jjingo. Since the incident last month, the envelopes, with one indicating shs19 million and the other shs11 million, had gone missing even though Isabirye insisted on the envelopes in his statement at police.

When contacted, police in Najjera insisted that investigations on the Jjingo were still ongoing. A police source privy to the investigations told us on condition of anonymity that so far their investigation shows that only two people, Jjingo and her sister, were in the house when the money disappeared. That is Jjingo and her sister.

“It is therefore hard to depend on both for an accurate view of the incident,” the source said. The case is under SD 07/24/2014.
