Ugandan song bird Angella Katatumba’s heart for charity is always a constant. Despite recent charity drives, the singer through her humanitarian work has continued saving the nation with Mulago hospital being the main beneficiary again.
The “Multiply by two” song bird under the Angella Katatumba Development Foundation, finally delivered a Phototherapy machine and syringe pump to Mulago Hospital which is to be used to save premature babies during growth.
“Over 80-100 babies who are born, 8-10 of them are premature and these will benefit from Angella Katatumba’s donation. Sarah Mulindwa, in-charge of Special Care Units, said
Katatumba under “Mulago Yaffe” campaign donated 10millionshillings which was used to purchase the Phototherapy machine. The medical equipment which was delivered on Monday was procured through Crown Healthcare.
The donation is part of Angella Katatumba’s campaign that was launched in 2014.
Dr. Doreen Birabwa Male, the Mulago Hospital Deputy Executive Director applauded Angella for her generous support and adding onto the effort of the hospital in trying to serve the nation.
