WHEN CRITICS talk about the problems surrounding Uganda Cranes, their main focus is directed to Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) and its surrounding controversies. This is not any close to subject of discussion by looks of the controversies that dominate FUFA and its half backed financial cycle.
While the eclipsing Cranes won a slot to participate in the highly anticipated soccer tournament on the continent after 39 years, it’s budgets are soaring and may not brave them a chance at a better seat in the nations cup tournament.
The in-situation has reached a crisis point and yet the country has intentions of achieving. Cranes are currently camping in Dubai but faced with a huge financial strain ranging from accommodation, feeding and other related bills.
In response, Ecobank has launched a campaign dubbed “ECOBANKMujjeTulumbe” and call upon Wellwishers and patriots to help in raising money to facilitate the national team while in Gabon. The aim of this Campaign is a long time course that will range to support Cranes even after Gabon Tournament.
Many Wellwishers have started responding positively to this call and a lot are expected to comply.
