THERE IS extreme jubilation at Serena Conference based NTV Uganda after it was confirmed that Managing Director Agnes Asiimwe Konde is quitting.
Xclusive UG can confirm that Konde is leaving NTV for pastures new on 9th September.
While NTV Uganda may have solidified their slim margin as television favourite market leaders beating NBS, and Bukedde over the years, many have not been happy with how Konde has been running the business.
She’s has been ruthless more often clashing with fellow workmates. It’s nowonder many are excited she is finally set to quit after four years.
Konde is set to join an entrepreneurial NGO called Msingi East Africa and she will be based in the Rwandan capital Kigali. She will oversee operations of Msingi East Africa’s Rwanda office.
Msingi helps small, medium enterprises start-off with operations in Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.
Konde who has over 20 years experience in consumer goods, foods and beverages and media joined NTV Uganda at the start of 2013 and was the first Ugandan General Manager.
She has previously worked with Monitor Publications, Crown Beverages, British American Tobacco and most recently Africa Broadcasting (NMG owned NTV).
