TV personality Sheila Gashumba has dismissed as untrue charges of possession of narcotics brought against her father and activist, Frank Gashumba.
Gashumba was arrested on Monday by Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence [CMI], before he was paraded in front of the media on Tuesday evening by UPDF deputy spokesperson, Lt Col Deo Akiiki.
Sheila said the two passports came about because her father changed his name some years ago.
She insisted that her dad’s issue was actually a small one only that a local television NBSwas taking it out of hand.
She accused the Kamwokya based telly station of “using your beef with my father to ruin his reputation that he trades drugs!! Today it’s him, tomorrow it’s you!!”
Sheila further confirmed that she is currently in South Africa on business.
Speaking through a Facebook live video, Sheila further said that mean looking army men turned their house upside down as they searched the home.
“My bedroom was all disorganized. Some soldiers could keep on that my bedroom had to be searched thoroughly saying I am my dad’s secretary,” she said.
She also revealed she will be returning to the country early next week.
