Earlier this website reported how it was stated that Tarrus Riley was booked for a Festival in Jamaica and he was to be paid twice the Ugandan money and it was the reason he called off the Ugandan show.
Well er this was grape vine that was circulated by the events house that honored to host the singer.
However the singer took to social media using his verified official facebook page and issued a statement, the the statement read – the event organizers were failed by the official Sponsors of the show and this failed the show from going on.
According to an email that was sent to Tarrus, he claims he was asked to fix another date for the concert a that didnt go well with him.
This wasat about 4 am on Tuesday morning when the Jamaican singer took to his official verified Facebook indicating why he wouldn’t be performing in Uganda when the organizers – a new events house called Red Fog became unclear about the show by Monday Morning.
Who is Turrus Riley
Riley was born in Bronx, New York and raised in Jamaica. His father is veteran reggae singer Jimmy Riley. He made his recording debut as a teenager. In 2004, Tarrus released his debut album, Challenges. Riley has consistently racked up awards for his work. Among his accolades are Best Singer, Male Vocalist, Cultural Artiste, Song of the Year, and Best Song. Some of the awards institutions which have rewarded Riley include the Youth View Awards, The Star People’s Choice Awards, EME Awards, and the Reggae Academy awards. Tarrus is the holder of Jamaica’s CVM TV’s 15th Anniversary Award, held in February 2009, for the ‘Most Admired Song in the Past 15 Years’ for the hit “She’s Royal”.
