Former NTV reporter Dean Lubowa Sava has been arrested for human trafficking and fraud.
Xclusive UG understands Sava has been running a fraudulent external labor exporting company.
Sava is currently detained at Central Police Station (CPS).
This is the second time he’s being arrested.
In May, Kampala Metropolitan Police issued a statement showing that Sava has been running a “fake” and unregistered company called Global Skills International Limited and he was accused of conning his unsuspecting clientssums of money to a tune of Shs126 million.
According to the statement, he was advertising “fake foreign jobs on social media platforms like Facebook, promising to help them acquire handsomely paying jobs abroad.”
The company was located in Kibuye opposite MK Building, said police.
Police in the statement said that they had received over 37 reports of obtaining money by false pretense and they are currently filed at Katwe Police Station.
Sava has been charged with human trafficking and obtaining money by false pretence.
Owoyesigyire said Dean Sava was arrested at the police station, where he had gone to rescue his workers who had been earlier arrested.
