Kololo Independence Grounds was the place to be last Sunday as kids and their parents gathered for the annual Green Festival organized by Joseph Masembe’s Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green.
For years the festival is a must attend for kids in and around Kampala with some even coming in from across the country.
And this year around it was no different as children graced the event in large numbers. The fun filled fest had various musicians performing for the guests. Children mingled and played throughout the day as they got to know each other.
Performers of the day included Levixone, Kabako, Tip Swizzy among others. Kabako was particularly impressive with his usual energetic stage presence.
Apart from the fun, children were educated about the importance of planting fruit trees for a better green environment.
This year’s theme was; Education conservation education with a touch of fun and meaningful child participation.
Another event dubbed the Christmas Party is expected to take place inDecember.
