Internal Affair Minister General Jeje Odong has said a decision to ban the popular Nyege Nyege has not been made yet.
This comes hours after Ethics and Integrity minister Fr. Simon Lokodo said the event had been banned in a media briefing at Uganda Media Centre earliertoday.
Speaking to Xclusive UG, Odong said: “The position to cancel or allow Nyege Nyege will depend on the meeting which we shall have tomorrow at 10am.”
Earlier today, Lokodo had written to Internal Affairs minister Odong requesting the cancellation of the event which he described as a gay gathering.
After he (Lokodo) confirmed the ban of the event.
But in a twist of events, Odong insists that decision will be reached tomorrow.
