Joe Kigozi has set June 2019 for the launch of his highly anticipated football school, Joe Kigozi Academy (JKA).
A few weeks ago we told of how the Next Media deputy CEO was in the final stages of launching a football school.
Now we can confirm that the academy will be called Joel Kigozi Academy (JKA) and will be launched in June.
Joe Kigozi Academy (JKA) is a private academy, a school of soccer excellence.
According to the proprietor, the academy is founded with a purpose of discovering soccer talent for both boys and girls from all walks of life.
“The idea is to use football as a vehicle to create excellent citizens who are aware of the potential they have in life. The academy will target ages between 3- 18 years to learn to play soccer. The idea of the Soccer Academy is togive back as cooperate Social responsibility to the community,” Kigozi told this website.
He further revealed that his vision is to lead JKA into the leading soccer academy in East Africa.
And what’s even more interesting is that the academy will aim at teaching young footballers skills beyond football that will help them become significant personalities in society.
The academy will have weekend and holiday programs to allow kids enough time to attend school.
Kigozi also said the school will work/partner with several cooperate companies that are willing to invest in young people and empower them to consume their brands.
The founder of the academy Joe Kigozi is a former amateur footballer and football TV pundit/analyst and commentator with local and International TVs.
He has formerly served as the CEO of BBS TV (Buganda Kingdom TV) and was very instrumental in set its up.
He is also a former director at Pearl Sporto. He is currently the Deputy CEO/ Chief Strategist for Next Media and GM of Sanyuka TV.
