Silent Majority leader Bebe Cool has appreciated the role of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) for their role in the development of UgandaUganda.
The musician was speaking from Kitgum where he led group of youthful Ugandans including journalists and entertainers fo the 38th Tarehe Sita celebrations on Wednesday.
Apart from securing the country, UPDF has been instrumental in other developmental activities like Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) thatI championed by the army.
Bebe Cool said he attended Tarehe Sita because was grateful for the role UPDF continues to play in transforming the lives of Ugandans.
“It’s out of respect and appreciation towards the UPDF for the work they have done for us Ugandans to be alive and happy today.
These women and men sacrificed their lives for the peace of Ugandans and they still do. This is on top of other projects they are involved in.
So as a responsible successful citizen, I felt making time to attend this day is a way of appreciation towards their sacrifice.”
