Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Community Affairs Ali Kirunda Kivejinja has advised Bobi Wine to have patience and not rush towards becoming president of Uganda.
Speaking today, Kivejinja, born in 1935 advised the Kyadondo East legislator to be patient since ‘the world is not ending tomorrow.’
For the better part of the year, Bobi has been touted as the new main opposition leader replacing FDC’s Kizza Besigye.
Tomany he should take on President Yoweri Museveni in the 2021 polls. Bobi seems to agree.
Kivejinja differs however.
He (Kivejinja) said: “You don’t just wake up from the ghetto and become a president.
We have to put in a little of patience because the world is not ending tomorrow. If you want to be a president doesn’t push it, it will come because the world is still around. Of course it has not been a smooth sailing as indeed challenges must have been faced.
Don’t imagine that you will just wake up from the ghetto and become a president. There must be hurdles.”
