There’s bad blood boiling between Members of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) and Muhammad Nsereko.
Well, this is according to word doing the rounds.
This is the story.
It’s said Kampala Central legislator Nsereko recently visited Bobi Wine at his home in Magere.
Reason? To convince Bobi to drop his presidential ambitions. Apparently Nsereko was sent by President Yoweri Museveni to convince Bobi drop his presidential ambitions of 2021.
This did not go well with Bobi who felt Nsereko had betrayed his people.
Bobi, it is said, adamantly rubbished Nsereko and asked him to leave.
Since then, Nsereko who had become close to Bobi Wine has kept a distance with many wonderingwhat could have happened.
We hear Nsereko was selected to convince Bobi to drop his presidential ambitions after a meeting at State House.
The meeting was attended by businessman Balaam Barugahara, a one Hassan Mukiibi Serunjonji among others.
Originally Museveni had showed no interest in any dialogue with Bobi but later changed his mind after consistent coercion by Nsereko and his gang.
Nsereko told the president that he had grown up with Bobi and both had started out as musicians at DV8, a Kampala bar.
According to insiders, after numerous hours Museveni is said to have authorised Nsereko and his people to try their luck, but after failing (as he expected), he would turn to Parliament to increase the minimum presidential age limit to 45 years in order to knock out the Kyadondo East legislature.
