Swangz Avenue has apologised for the erotic behaviour portrayed by their artiste Winnie Nwagi at St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK).
During a performance earlier this month, Nwagi erotically dubbed under age students sending tongues wagging.
A video of the explicit action has since been making the rounds on social media and WhatsApp groups.
This prompted the minister of Ethics and Integrity Fr. Simon Lokodoto initiate a process of banning some female musicians from performing at social events in schools.
As a result Swangz Avenue, the label Nwagi is signed to, has issued an apology.
“We deeply regret the inappropriate performance by Winnie Nwagi at St Mary’s College Kisubi on July 13th. We have investigated the incident and measures have been put in place to avoid a repeat of the same.
This was a huge error in judgment and both the Artist and the management team acknowledge the pain and mistrust caused by this incident. We apologize to the general public, parents of the students in attendance and the school Administration,” a statement from Swangz Avenue read.
