Football greats Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto’o Fils will headline a host of African football legends in a football match against former Uganda Cranes heroes.
The African stars are coming in the country to play a game with Ugandan legends as part of the Uganda –France Friendship week.
Eto’o is a record holder for the most number of appearances by an African player in La Liga and has won the La Liga three times, among other achievements.
Didier Drogba is yet to be confirmed but has been included on the list.
They will be arriving in the country on March 20, train at Namboole the following day before the game at March 22.
Uganda’s squad will be captained by Geoffrey Massa.
The African Stars include; Aboubaker Camara, Kossi Agassa, Allasane Ndour, Aliou Goloko, Didier Drogba, Kamara Diomansy, Diouf El Hadji, Nkongolo Herita Ilunga, Olivier Kapo, Khalilou Fadiga, Lomana Tresor Lualua, Benjani Mwaruwari, Geremi Njitap, Shabani Nonda, Robert Kidiaba, Samuel Eto’o, Mohamed Sissoko, Taribo West, Didier Zokora, Emmanuel Eboue and Yaya Toure.
The Uganda-France friendship week consists a series of events taking place from March 21 (Francophone) until March 28 (Rugby tournament and concert) 2020.
Events include; culture, sport, business, music, defence cooperation and gastronomy.
This week is organised by the French embassy, Uganda Olympics Committee, Alliance Francaise Kampala, Francophone and Uganda companies.
