The youthful man who was battered by Panamera bar boss Desh Kananura has said he feared he was going to die like Badru Kateregga as the former (Desh) roughed him up on Friday.
Businessman Desh is again in the spotlight for battering a one Hussein Lukabwe, just a few years after he (Desh) allegedly battered Kateregga to death.
Death is facing murder charges.
While speaking to Xclusive UG, Lukabwe the Sales Manager Delights Co. Ltd, a car importing & selling company located in Bakuli on Namirembe Road said it is a miracle he is still alive.
However he says he is still haunted and that every time he thinks about what could have happened to him just last week, he suffers nightmares.
Here is his story:
Hey, Iam the guy Desh Kananura beat on Friday evening.
Desh took my vehicle a Kluger UAU for two months without paying a single coin. When I asked him to give me my money, he said that he had given the car to his lawyer by the names of Namanya Geoffrey. So when I contacted the lawyer in May he kept me on pending until when he gave me three postponed checks (cheques) on 11th/06/2014. So in going to Panamera he (lawyer) called me to take the checks and look for a way forward. I was surprised Desh just beat me up andeven paid the police officers at the station there to join him.
Now I have been down and spending money on my treatment. I demand him 30 million shillings
He threw me out threatening to show me his true colours. My workments who came to pick me up passed by Kira Rd Police Station but did not get any help because he beat me up before the police post stationed at his bar.
He tore my clothings and in the course broke the screen of my mobile phone & also lost some money. Am currently at CASE Medical Centre.”
More than one year ago, on the morning of September 30, 2012, Desh Kananura, real name Andrew Kananura Kagonyera, and others allegedly murdered an employee of Panamera bar & restaurant in Naguru.
He consequently went on the run till his arrest in January 2013.
He was remanded and released on bail, however to date, the flamboyant businessman is out and about; its business as usual while the parents of his alleged victim Badru Kateregga have relentlessly sought justice and apparently been frustrated.
