Singer Sophie Nantongo is the latest celebrity to enter the fray regarding fallen entertainer Paddy Bitama’s burial. Bitama who died on Saturday morning was at first set to be buried on Monday but the ceremony couldn’t take place following a dispute over his real biological dad.

Sophie Natongo posted on social media: “One has lived all his 35 years belonging to the monkey clan. Does it really make sense to come and claim he belongs to another clan after he has passed away???” Though he did not name Bitama,

it was clear for everyone to interpret. The final sendoff of the fallen comedian will not take place until a paternity wrangle is resolved and this is expected by Friday.

Two families are currently locked in a dispute over the paternity of Bitama. One of the family heads, Peter Kasozi, called police to take the body from National Theatre were it was lying for artistes to pay their last respects to Mulago Mortuary to carry out a DNA test. However, this afternoon as police was carrying out a DNA test between Richard SSali, the elder brother from the Tamale Ssali family, other relatives were exchanging bitter fights.
