Musician Bebe Cool has once again proven he is a major asset for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) after attracting thousands in Eastern Uganda.
The celebrated musician spent the better part of this week combing various districts in the east as he garnered support for NRM and President Yoweri Museveni.
On Wednesday, the singer brought Mbale town to a standstill with a procession.
He later took his Museveni gospel at the border in Busia, again attracting mammoth crowds.
On Saturday, the singer took his mobilisation driveto Teso region where he paralyzed Serere town.
Last year, Bebe Cool’s mobilization was enough to counter nemesis and fellow artiste, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu in the Hoima District by-elections.
Bebe was the lead act at many of NRM’s rallies, providing entertainment and mobilization of youth.
Just a few days ago, the singer was touted as NRM’s biggest public engagement asset after President Museveni.
“Being the big brand that he is, it is obvious that each week he is adding more mileage and acreage to the NRM publicity mechanism,” one political analyst said.
The singer will be headed to Jinja on Tuesday.
