However, the EC says whereas they had a budget 35.6 billion shillings to conduct the entire exercise only 15.6 billion was received
It should be noted that the four-year term of Office of the current Councils expired in 23rd August 2022

On whether there is a statutory instrument that is extending the stay of the current women councils, otherwise their stay in Office is illegal.
Hon Mwejikye – We also need to understand how the 15.6 Billion shillings that was allocated to the Commission was spent and the fate of the supervisors and election officials that were recruited for this process and who have never been paid?
