With fuel prices rising in Uganda, many car owners and potential buyers are searching for vehicles that are high-quality, perform well, and have low maintenance costs.
Suzuki by CFAO has introduced the all-new Hybrid Grand Vitara, an SUV that embodies over thirty years of development and Suzuki’s mission to make urban cross-country vehicles more powerful.
During an event at the Suzuki by CFAO showroom in Kampala’s industrial areas, Marketing Manager Isaac Tegule talked about the importance of this milestone. He said, “The return of the Grand Vitara isn’t just a comeback; it’s a big change. We’re leading the way in Uganda’s car market by introducing a brand-new hybrid vehicle.”

Isaac continued, “Our innovative Hybrid technology sets a new standard for eco-friendly driving, aligning perfectly with the environmentally conscious values of our audience. By embracing hybrid vehicles like the Grand Vitara, we collectively take a significant step towards a greener future, reducing emissions and conserving our environment for generations to come.”
A hybrid car combines a traditional engine with an electric motor and a small battery. The Suzuki hybrid doesn’t require plugging in to charge the battery; it charges itself through braking and the engine. This hybrid system improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions, making the car more eco-friendly.
The Grand Vitara offers a versatile driving experience, suitable for daily trips or weekend getaways. It comes with features like the ALL GRIP Select system, which adjusts to different road conditions.
The car also includes a 9-inch HD Display Audio with smartphone integration for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety features like the Electronic Stability Programme, airbags, and more are part of the package.
The new Grand Vitara isn’t just a vehicle; it represents innovation and a commitment to a greener future. This SUV will set a new standard in Uganda’s market and leave a lasting impact.
Due to new tax amendments effective from July 1, 2023, electric and hybrid vehicles are exempt from import duties in Uganda, making the Suzuki Grand Vitara more affordable at $33,000 or around UGX 125 million. Customers can choose to pay upfront or through financing with installment payments.
CFAO Motors provides 2 years/50,000 km of free service, ensuring genuine parts and expert care, along with a 5-year/100,000 km warranty on the Hybrid battery components, offering confidence in the reliability of the Grand Vitara.
