RUKIGA –The woman Member of Parliament for Rukiga District, Hon. Kamusiime Caroline Muhwezi, donated essential healthcare items to Mparo Health Centre IV in Rukiga District today as a way of enhancing healthcare services in the region.
Caroline donated items such as fifteen hospital beds, tables, medical storage cabinets, and an infant incubator.
While giving out these items, Hon. Caroline stressed that the construction of the new maternity ward had created a need for the hospital equipment, which compelled her to procure such equipment to reduce the death rate of expectant mothers in the district.
Hon. Caroline also extended her special thanks to the Ministry of Health and HE YK Museveni, the President of Uganda, for upgrading Mparo to Health Centre IV and for supporting them in the construction of the maternity ward.
