The news of the passing on of Pherrie Kim ( Pherrie Kimbugwe ) on a lazy cloudy Tuseday morning did send me chills though I had prior known of her palliative condition.
Her demise has woken me up , out of my intended slumber due to the unfairness and greed that encompasses the world that we live in.

For it reminds me that at the end of the day we will all return to our maker.
I stumbled upon the beautiful Pherrie , during the old good days of Pearl of Africa Music Awards , that were then organized by Isaac Mulindwa aka Mulin a relative of hers and of course Club silk and Radio Simba.
It is through Aziz Mulindwa an Old Boy at Kampala High School with whom we shared our wild side that Pherrie and I got to fully understand each other.
This association with the Kimbugwe and Mulindwa family was to last until I started faulting PAM AWARDS through my writings in the media .
However, a while later when Pherrie started Sky Entertainment, she contacted me and yes we worked together.
Indeed many people used to wonder why I had turned Club silk into my seating room and rubbing shoulders with Prince David Wassaja , well it was all because of Pherrie.
At about that time 2006 that I first noticed her closeness to singer Omulangira Sunna.
Though she had initially maintained that it was business , her body language and protectiveness of the singer said otherwise.
Wherever you spotted the Red short pajero so did you OS Sunna and Pherrie.
The pair later formalized their relationship that sadly didn’t last the test of time.
Pherrie , would then take on a role at Angenior now Club Guvnor owned by Charlie Lubega and lethally was protective of the brand.
As expected at a happening spot there was always news and this i did cover.
Through this we once again clashed and Pherrie was quick to offer me a consension at the club in exchange of always first consulting her if I had a ‘tip’ concerning the club which didn’t materialize.
Later, I indeed had a ‘tip’ that concerned her and a fellow only known as MR. LUBZ thus called her to ‘confirm’.
Trust Pherrie, she coerced me into revealing my location and guess what , she delivered herself and the Mr LUBZ package at the then Mateo’s hangout.
She boldly announced that she had come to officially introduce her US MARINE new partner Sergeant ( at the time) Abdul LUBWAMA whom she hinted was going to be her life partner.
Shockingly the pair didn’t invite me to their ‘day’ at Naguru.
Pherrie, who seemed to be swept off her feet also later hinted on quitting her job at Guvnor to concentrate on her new marriage.
Indeed at that time introduced me to the new club PR the lovable and smiling Natasha Kayondo.
Just like most long distance relationships this too eventually collapsed .
But this reality didn’t put down Pherrie for she reinvented herself in the HP Saloon project adjucent Guvnor.
Here she blossomed for quite some time but again their she was with talk of hajji this hajji that and that hajji was non other than Haroun Muwonge of Guvnor and Ham Sounds.
Pherrie and Haroun had a magical relationship for they looked over each other’s backs.
Those who knew it will attest to the fact that the death of Haroun (cancer) greatly affected Pherrie.
Little did she know that she would later be diagonized with a brain tumor.
The realization of this devastating news and reality that she was not bound to live for a long haul, she emersed herself in educating others about Cancer and living with hope.
She embarked on tree planting projects in memory of Haroun and her other relatives in abid to away her mind off the inevitable.
Pherrie , was a true friend whose value can be confirmed by people like Gareth Onyango , Nikita Bachu and the Guvnor Family.
She also was a staunch Islam faithful and yes her attachment to Ismail bin. Musa Menk and sharing his spiritual videos and articles and during her final ailing days has been phenomenal.
Whereas I vividly can recall that their family resting place is in kiwatule off Seguku Entebbe road, I can’t be certain of hers as I write this .
