RUBANDA –Christians have been urged to respect and cooperate with their church leaders in enhancing God’s kingdom.
The call was made on the 26th of November,2023 by The Very Rev Can Obed Turihohabwe, the St Peter’s Cathedral Rugarama Dean, while preaching in the induction service of Ven Earnest Nkwasiibwe, the new Archdeacon of St. James Muko Church of Uganda Archdeaconry in Muko Sub-County of Rubanda District.

OkCan Turihohabwe noted that most Christians often disrespect and neglect their church leaders in carrying out various church activities, which has hindered the development and the propagation of the gospel in communities. He asked believers to cultivate in them a giving culture as one way of supporting the work of the gospel.
The cleric described Ven Nkwasiibwe as a dedicated and visionary minister, alluding to his former achievements during his service as deputy Sub-Dean until his appointment as the Muko Archdeacon.The Very Rev Can Turihohabwe also challenged church leaders to embrace servant-leadership, diligence and humility while tending God’s sheepfold.
The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, tasked Ven Nkwasiibwe to be a faithful ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to serve the flock entrusted to him without segregation, but rather unite them into harmony and development, despite the challenges that await him in his
