KABALE –Dr. Hilary Bakamwesiga Mbona, an aspiring member of parliament for Ndorwa West, called on Christians to embrace the government’s wealth creation campaigns to create jobs and eliminate household poverty.
He made these remarks on Sunday, January 7th, 2024, during the celebrations marking 100 years of Our Lady of Good Shepherd at Rushoroza Catholic Parish in Kabale Municipality.
Hilary stated that the government has provided numerous opportunities, such as the PDM, for people to engage in and improve their economic situations. He urged people to seize these chances for self-development.

In a special note, he congratulated Rushoroza Catholic for reaching the milestone of 100 years and expressed gratitude to Bishop Callist Rubaramara for his commendable work. Hilary encouraged him to maintain the momentum for the diocese to remain strong.
Additionally, Hilary emphasized the importance of Christians getting involved in farming, stating that agriculture is a source of both food and income.
