Everything We Know About The Album
The music sensation has this time embarked on an exciting musical journey in Nigeria for this album that is expected to rock not just the African continent but the whole world.
The star travelled to Nigeria with his team; Manager Richard Kleberson, Music producer and songwriter Anko Ronie formerly Ronie On Dis One, and Ugandan music, video and music producer Bushingtone.
In an interview, Bebe Cool- fondly referred to as Rasta by close pals- revealed that all tracks for his forthcoming album were conceptualized and crafted in the vibrant musical landscape of Lagos in Nigeria.
The decision to record in Nigeria stemmed from a conversation with Bushingtone, who encouraged him to collaborate with Nigerian talent. Bushingtone- also known as Bush- is the Executive Producer of the album.
Explaining the significance behind the album’s title, Bebe Cool expressed his desire to challenge prevailing mindsets and foster a sense of collective unity among Africans.
He emphasized the need for solidarity rather than individualistic pursuits, citing his admiration for the Nigerian music industry as a prime example of collaborative success.
Bebe Cool explains: “I chose the name Break The Chains because I want to break the deadlock. The mentality, the mindset, and the thinking that as Africans, everyone has to fight individually. We need to work as a whole, and it’s the reason I respect the Nigerian music industry.”
The album boasts a lineup of talented producers, including Phil Keyz, Sugar Vibes, Bushingtone, and Bebe Cool’s official music producer Anko Ronie. A Ugandan producer named Anel Tunes did the ‘house cleaning’.
Additionally, the songs were penned by a host of writers including skilled Nigerian songwriters such as Deeno, Phill Keys, Shuga Vybes.
Bebe Cool’s decision to venture into Nigeria for his album production underscores the growing trend of cross-border collaborations within the African music scene.
With his unique blend of Ugandan flavor and Nigerian influence, anticipation for “Break The Chains” continues to mount among fans eagerly awaiting its release.
