Musician Bebe Cool today Sunday concluded the all weekend Tourism celebrations with a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This year’s celebrations under the theme Tourism and Peace were held in Kasese.

“Queen Elizabeth National Park is a renowned national park in Uganda, known for its diverse ecosystems, incredible wildlife, and breathtaking scenery.

It borders:
- Kibale National Park (north)
- Rwenzori Mountains National Park (east)
- Virunga National Park (south), Democratic Republic of Congo
- Lake Edward (west)
And it boasts an impressive array of wildlife, including: Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Hippos, Cape buffaloes, Chimpanzees, Giraffes, Antelopes (various species), over 600 bird species among others.
The park’s diverse habitats include: Savannas, Forests, Wetlands, Lake shores (Lake Edward and Lake George) and Kazinga Channel (connecting the two lakes)
Some of it’s tourist attractions include Game drives, Boat cruises (Kazinga Channel), Chimpanzee trekking (Kyambura Gorge), Birdwatching, Hiking (explore scenic trails and viewpoints), Cultural experiences (visit local communities).

On top of all this, it offers various accommodations, ranging from: Luxury lodges (e.g., Mweya Safari Lodge), Mid-range lodges (e.g., Bush Lodge), Budget-friendly options (e.g., campsites) and Community-run lodges (supporting local development).
There’s no doubt, Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best places to visit in just Uganda but the whole world.”
This year’s celebrations also included visiting other monumental sites within Kasese including Rwenzori mountains among others.
