Many might know former Vice President Rt. Hon. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi for his role in the Uganda political space.
Few will know of his impact and role in the education sector, especially Victory School of Beauty and Hospitality Management.
The school which has grown in leaps and bounds started in 2015. One year later, the former Vice President and Speaker of the Uganda Parliament Ssekandi joined the institution in the capacity of Patron.
And one can safely attribute the institution’s continued growth to, partly, Mr. Ssekandi’s wisdom.

Since he joined, he has played a hugely important role in terms of mentorship and advisory.
And this has been easy for him since he has a background in education.
From 1973 until 1978, he served as a lecturer at the Uganda Law Development Centre (LDC). Between 1978 and 1979, he served as the acting director of the Law Development Centre.
This education background he exudes certainly helped him mentor and easily advise the administration of Victory School of Beauty and Hospitality Management. The institutions administration continues to do well, thanks partly to Ssekandi.
His role has certainly helped scale the institution to greater heights.
His mentoring has helped build confidence and relationships, to develop resilience and character, and raise aspirations, rather than to develop specific academic skills or knowledge.
