The third edition of the French Study and Job Fair wrapped up over the weekend, offering Ugandan students and professionals valuable insights into education and career opportunities within French institutions and multinational companies.
Organized by Alliance Française de Kampala in collaboration with various partners, the event attracted seven French universities and 25 companies operating in Uganda. Attendees explored a variety of study programs, internships, and job prospects designed to enhance their global career prospects.
French Ambassador to Uganda, Xavier Sticker, emphasized the fair’s role in fostering stronger ties between Uganda and France, particularly in education and economic cooperation. He highlighted the significance of academic exchanges and career mobility between the two countries.
“This event is a gateway for Ugandans to tap into the vast Francophone market of over 300 million people,” Ambassador Sticker noted. “French companies are among the biggest investors in Uganda, not just in the economy but also in human capital. We believe in investing in people, and that is why we are committed to being active in this space.”

The ambassador also underscored the fair’s potential to open international opportunities for Ugandans interested in studying in France or working with French enterprises. With increased academic collaborations and employment prospects, the initiative continues to bridge the gap between local talent and the global job market.
