Kabale-Counsel Elvis Twenda, the NRM aspirant for Ndorwa East County Member of Parliament, has vowed to prioritize education and health if elected into office.
Addressing hundreds of supporters from Rutare and Shororo villages at Kabahesi Church of Uganda in Rwene Parish, Buhara Subcounty, Twenda emphasized the importance of these sectors in driving development.
“As an educationist, I understand the transformative power of education,” Twenda said. “My focus will be on improving the education sector in Ndorwa East, ensuring our children have access to quality learning opportunities.”
Twenda also pledged to enhance healthcare services, highlighting his previous support for health initiatives in the area. “Education and health are the backbone of development,” he stressed. “We must invest in these sectors to unlock our area’s full potential.”
The aspirant urged residents to vote for an NRM member of Parliament, arguing that their area has been neglected due to lack of representation. “We need a leader who will fight for our share of the national cake,” he said.
Twenda also addressed concerns about his candidacy, dismissing claims that he is being used by others in politics. “Let us not be swayed by propaganda,” he said. “I am committed to serving Ndorwa East, and I have the passion and expertise to make a difference.”
The gathering expressed enthusiasm for Twenda’s vision, and his message resonated with many who are eager for positive change in their community.
