As a president of the Uganda Musicians Association, a body that takes all musicians, Cindy had a lot to say about Sheebah and the whole incident.

Cindy shoots at Sheeba

Cindy said Sheebah needs to learn how to dress when going to different events, she shouldn’t dress like she is going to a bar yet she is going to perform for children.

Cindy said “I knows how to dress for different occasions, therefore she should be tipped to learn from me.”

Real talk

“When we’re performing in bars, we are performing for adults and it’s ok to dress the way we want but we have to change when performing in schools for young ones, you don’t have to expose yourself to the young ones because they are not ready to mentally get what you feed them, for I dress decently when performing for students,”- she says.

Cindy shoots at Cindy, Asks her to consider her dress code.

Meanwhile all this time Sheeba Karungi has since been so silent about the whole thing of banning musicians from performing in schools although several musicians ave come out in different capacities as entertainers to weigh in on the issue.

Several Ugandan musicians weigh in.

Musicians have expressed mixed reactions after the ministry of education announced a temporary ban that stops them from performing in schools.

Cindy came out to blame the government on the other hand that what they did was wrong. Rather they had to seek dialogue from the stakeholders before taking such a radical decision.

Similarly, media personality Kasuku said that the ministry was supposed to first talk to school owners and musician leaders before making a move.

That is stupidity, we are not in a dictatorship.

Motor-Mouth Kasuku Shot

Also, media personality cum politician Mr. Mosh shared similar views to Cindy and Kasuku as he said that government should sit down with artists and guide them on how to dress while going to schools.

He further urged artists to be good examples to young people because some copy what they do.

More Reactions

Comedian Amooti Omubalanguzi alias Amooti says he is outraged by the ministry’s ban on artistes performing in schools. He rather asked the government to concentrate on Mbale and Karamoja matters and live the artists to entertain students.

“They think stopping artists from performing in schools is going to stop students from seeing them? What the ministry is wrong because those children will start escaping from schools looking for us,” said Amoo
