The GROW Project stands for Generating Growth Opportunities and Productivity for Women Enterprises Project.

Its a Government of Uganda project, funded by the World Bank. Its implemented by Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development and Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU).

It covers all districts, municipalities, and cities in Uganda, including refugee host districts.

The goal of the project is to increase access to entrepreneurial services that help female entrepreneurs grow their enterprises from micro → small and small → medium size in targeted locations.

Target beneficiaries:

  • 60,000+ female-owned enterprises, including 3,000 refugee-owned businesses
  • 280,000+ women entrepreneurs & employees, including 42,000 refugees and 14,000 host community members
  • Millions of indirect beneficiaries: family members, communities, suppliers, service providers, and distributors of women enterprise products.
