Addressing the NRM Parliamentary Caucus at Kyankwanzi during the National Leadership Retreat, President Museveni said that Ugandans will not be cowed to given to the west critics and Uganda will stand for its values.
Mr. Museveni said that the country will not succumb to threats and intimidation after he assented to the bill last week.
President Museveni commended the Members of parliament for their contribution in the fight against homosexuality in the country and urged all Ugandans to stay firm.
He however, pointed out two key areas that apparently were noted by a world bank official that call for more revision in the current law.

He talked about the requirements for the employer to make sure there’re are no homos in their company and penalising resident owners whose houses have been rented by homosexuals.
“If that is there, then we should clearly sort it out” the president said before adding that NRM is clear on the Anti-gay stance.
“What we tell you in the day is what we will tell you in dark, there is no time for pleasurable talk. The signing is finished, no body will move us. The other day when we met at Kololo, i told you people to be ready for war and you can not fight a war when you are a pleasure seeker.” Mr Museveni added.
President Museveni also gave a background check on Homosexuality in Africa, saying that it existed.
“Homosexuality existed in Buganda, Bunyoro and Karagwe in Tanzania in the last 200 years. But people were simply rumoured to be Homosexuals with no single proof. No one was encouraging it and no one was fight it because it was a hidden act, a small secret within a few people.” Museveni said.
