Celebrated Ugandan musician and producer Daddy Andre has revealed that he has nothing against fellow musician Eddy Kenzo, the president of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF), saying he is actually the one who made Kenzo what he is today!
Speaking during an exclusive interview with a local media house this week, Daddy Andre, who has no kind words for Kenzo, said that whereas some people think he’s jealous of the Big Talent boss because of his position, that’s not the case.
“I have no problem with Kenzo because I’m the one who produced most of the songs that made him a star, including his latest hit,” Daddy Andre said, adding; “The only difference between us is that I refused to mix music with politics. The fact is that he called us and tried talking us into joining his thing but I refused and that should sink in.”

Daddy Andre, who is soon drooping a new album dubbed ‘Ugandan Lady’, also revealed that Kenzo and the group in his Federation do not wish the Ugandan music industry anything good because whatever they do, including supporting the new laws that the government enacted to regulate the creative industry, is not meant to benefit but exploit musicians.
He asserted that Kenzo has a right to do whatever he feels right, but should not disregard advice from people who understand the music industry and how it works.
Daddy Andre has for the past few days been making headlines ever since he made it public that he disagrees with Kenzo’s leadership at the UMF because the Federation doesn’t benefit musicians, but is instead there to front the greedy objectives of some few individuals.
