Music lovers are in for a vibrant cultural experience as top Ugandan performers prepare to light up the stage at the Bridges & Beats Francophonie Concert later this month.
Scheduled for March 28 at Kingdom Kampala, the concert is part of the worldwide celebration of Francophonie Month, an annual cultural festival that celebrates the French language and the diversity of Francophone cultures across the globe. The celebration peaks on International Francophonie Day on March 20 and brings together more than 300 million French speakers worldwide.

Organised by Alliance Française Kampala in partnership with Talent Africa Group, the concert promises an exciting fusion of music, culture, art, and cuisine designed to build cultural bridges between Uganda and the Francophone world.
Leading the lineup are two of Uganda’s trending stars, Elijah Kitaka and Tracy Melon, who will headline a diverse cast of performers drawn from Uganda’s rich music and cultural landscape.

They will be joined by an energetic lineup that includes Aliddeki Brian, Ssewa Ssewa, Professor Joewi, Sandra Nansambu, Blackqueen, and Sheila Salta, while the decks will be controlled by DJs DJ Valet and DJ Rocky.
Adding a regional cultural touch, Rwanda’s Impudu Cultural Group will showcase traditional dance performances, while Uganda’s iconic Royal Drums will deliver powerful drum rhythms that celebrate African heritage.

Beyond the music, the event will also spotlight Uganda’s cultural richness. Attendees can expect traditional dance performances, poetry, and storytelling sessions delivered in both French and local languages, as well as exhibitions of Ugandan crafts and art.
The celebration will also extend to food lovers, with food stalls serving authentic Ugandan dishes and live cooking demonstrations that promise a taste of local flavours.

Community participation remains a key part of the event, with schools and universities expected to take part in performances, workshops, and cultural exchanges aimed at encouraging young people to connect with the Francophone world.
