The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has introduced NWSC Duuka, a digital platform designed to give customers access to a range of water and billing services without having to visit physical water offices.

The new platform, described by NWSC as its official E-Branch, is intended to make it easier for customers to manage their accounts, access bills, make payments and submit service requests directly from their mobile phones.

Through NWSC Duuka, customers can access their digital water bills, predict their bills and pay for water services electronically. The platform also allows customers to apply for new water connections and, for tenants, switch their water accounts from one property to another.

Customers can also use the service to view transaction details, monitor and visualise their water consumption trends, update their contact information and submit feedback to the corporation.

NWSC says the digital platform is aimed at reducing the need for customers to queue at its offices for routine services, while providing a more convenient way of interacting with the corporation.

“Your digital water shop is ready,” NWSC said in its announcement, encouraging customers to register and take advantage of the new services.

Customers can access NWSC Duuka by downloading the NWSC Mobile App or registering through the corporation’s NWSC E-Services platform.

The move is part of the growing shift towards digital access to public utility services, allowing customers to carry out transactions and access account information remotely.

NWSC has urged customers to register for the service and use the digital platform for their day-to-day water account needs, reducing reliance on physical visits to its offices.

The platform brings together billing, payments, account management, connection applications and customer feedback services in one digital channel, effectively creating a virtual branch of the water utility that customers can access from their phones.
