Fifi Da Queen has sued his former employer Bukedde and New Vision for defamation and she’s demanding a mouthwatering Shs1 billion.
On Monday, 26th September, 2022, Bukedde printed and published a headline on the front page in full colour and bold titled “Bakutte Fifi Da Queen kuby’okubba” accompanied with her beautiful picture.
Further, on Page 5, they extensively published an article under the headline, Ebya Sipapa bikwasizza Fifi, still in full color and bold.
Nabitengero Phiona a.k.a Fifi Da Queen says these articles are not only false but also baseless and injurious to her reputation as a distinguished journalist, a businesswoman, a mother who is happily married, philanthropist and a person of high standing in society.
She therefore, demands that New Vision Printing & Publishing Company offer an unequivocal apology on the front page; same size and colour as that of the statements written about her in the publication made on the 26th day of Sept, 2022, and in addition recompense her a sum of UGX1,000,000,000/= [One Billion Uganda Shillings] as compensation for their injurious statements to her reputation, and pay to her lawyers UGX50,000,000/= [Fifty Million Uganda Shillings) as legal fees so far incurred. And this should be done in not more than 3days.
