Outspoken first son and UPDF General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has described homosexuality as a a sin and scourge sweeping “our countries” and “killing our children.”
Taking to Twitter, a global social networking platform, Muhoozi insisted that homosexuality is a big sin before God. He insisted that God meant a woman for a man. And vice versa.
“Almighty God only intended men for women and vice versa,” he tweeted.
His comments come high on the heels of proposed bill in Parliament against the vice. Legislators intend to vote to criminalize homosexuals in Uganda.
In 2014, Parliament of Uganda passed a law against homosexuality only to be overturned by Court for lack of quorum.
Many leaders serving in different capacities have lately been speaking in one voice- condemning homosexuality in the country.
“There is a scourge sweeping our countries…killing our children. As the great African General, I must speak out and advise them. Homosexuality is a SIN!,” Muhoozi further said.
He wondered how a man would be attracted to a fellow man yet a female specie is the sweetest on the planet
“Almighty God only intended men for women and vice versa. There is nothing more sweeter than a woman on this earth.”
Muhoozi’s tweet has triggered mixed reactions with majority of his hundreds of thousands of followers applauding his zeal to speak against the vice.
