KABALE-The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, has urged graduates to embrace hard work, integrity and discipline if they are to succeed in their new career life.

While speaking at Bishop Barham University College’s third phase of their 24th graduation today, Bishop Akanjuna, who is also the institution’s governing council chairman, asked the new graduates to take discipline as key if they are to make a positive difference in their career fields.

He also urged them to trust God and rely on Him alone; and thanked the institution’s lecturers, parents and guardians for their unwavering support to their children in educating and shaping them into responsible professionals.

Renowned economist, banker and educationist, Prof Ezra Suruma, who was the chief guest at the function held at St. Peter’s Cathedral Rugarama gardens in Northern Division of Kabale Municipality, challenged the new professionals to prioritize the fear of God, and embrace unity to lead a sustainable society and future.

A total of 412 students, of whom 198 were females and 214 male, were awarded degrees and diplomas in various academic disciplines by the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Vice Chancellor, Prof Aaron Mushengyezi WHO REPRESENTED THE Chancellor and Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Dr. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, having completed their studies at Bishop Barham University College, a constituent college of UCU.
