Kabale-Hon. Wilbroad Atwebembeire Rwamunahe, a leading aspirant for the Kabale District LCV Chairmanship, has called on residents of Maziba Subcounty to vote based on competence rather than religious or tribal affiliations as the NRM primaries approach.
While addressing voters in villages including Nyamirima, Kagondo, and Rwakihazi during his grassroots campaign tour, Rwamunahe emphasized that Kabale District needs visionary and capable leadership focused on service delivery.“Let us choose leaders who are development-oriented, not those who hide behind religion or sectarian lines,” Rwamunahe told residents, drawing applause from the gathered crowds.
He pledged to prioritize the improvement of road infrastructure, education systems, and healthcare services—sectors he said are vital for lifting the district’s living standards.
Rwamunahe further promised an inclusive leadership style that listens to the needs of the people.“I am committed to working closely with local communities to ensure every parish feels the impact of government programs,” he said.
Residents of Maziba welcomed his message, expressing hope that his promises, if implemented, would address long-standing service delivery gaps in the area.
The NRM party is set to conduct its primary elections on **July 24, 2025**, with candidates across the country vying for various positions ahead of the general elections. Rwamunahe is one of the key contenders for the LCV seat in Kabale District.
As the race intensifies, voters in Kabale will be watching closely to see which candidate presents the most realistic path toward local transformation.
