Rubanda-Eng. Julius Twinomujuni Buzaare, an aspirant for the Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson seat, has called on local residents to reject politics based on religious or sectarian identity, urging them instead to vote for competent and visionary leaders capable of driving development in the district.

Buzaare made the remarks today while addressing a campaign rally in Ruhija Town Council, Rubanda West County, as he continues to canvass support ahead of the NRM party primaries scheduled for July 24.

In his address, Buzaare emphasized the need for voters to focus on ideas, capability, and delivery rather than the religious or ethnic backgrounds of candidates. “We are not electing religious leaders—we are electing leaders who will bring roads, schools, clean water, and better services,” he said.

“Leadership is about serving all people equally, regardless of their place of worship or origin.”

He warned against divisive politics and identity-based campaigns, which he said hinder unity and progress. “For Rubanda to thrive, we must embrace inclusive leadership. Let us rise above petty differences and focus on a shared vision for our district,” he added.

Buzaare also pledged to foster unity among district workers, blaming the current regime for what he described as growing divisions and strained relationships among local government staff. “It’s unfortunate that many public servants in Rubanda are not in good working terms with each other due to poor leadership,” he said.

“If elected, I will prioritize restoring teamwork, professionalism, and harmony in the district administration.”He concluded by calling on voters to entrust him with leadership, promising to serve with integrity, transparency, and a strong focus on service delivery.

Eng. Buzaare is among several candidates vying for the NRM flag in a hotly contested race to lead Rubanda District into the next political term.
