Kabale-Counsel Elvis Twenda, a Member of Parliament aspirant for Ndorwa East constituency, has pledged to champion improved service delivery and increased lobbying for development initiatives if elected.
Twenda made the remarks on the fourth day of his campaign trail during a rally held at Kabanyonyi Market in Kafunjo Parish, Buhara Sub-county, Kabale District.
Speaking to enthusiastic supporters, Twenda stated that the time is ripe for him to leverage his vast network of influential friends to bring tangible change to Ndorwa East. He underscored his commitment to using these connections to lobby for better services and development opportunities for the constituency.
Highlighting his past efforts, Twenda pointed to the donation of water tanks and the distribution of books in the constituency as part of his commitment to promoting education and basic services. “Education is the cornerstone of development,” Twenda noted, promising to enhance learning conditions in schools and ensure that children in Ndorwa East have access to quality education.
In his address, Twenda also emphasized the need for economic empowerment among households. He encouraged residents to engage in income-generating activities, pledging to support initiatives that will uplift livelihoods across the constituency. “During my term, I will ensure that our people are empowered economically. We must turn every opportunity into a source of income,” he said.

The MP hopeful further promised to lobby for improved healthcare services by securing better medical supplies and equipment for health centers in the area.
In a bid to tap into the potential of the youth, Twenda revealed plans to establish a sports academy in Ndorwa East aimed at identifying and nurturing local talent. “Sports today is a commercial venture. We must invest in it not only to build talent but also to create jobs for our youth,” he said.
