Kabale-The Kabale District National Resistance Movement (NRM) Registrar, Ntegyereize Medard, has assured LC3 chairperson and councillor aspirants that all polling materials for tomorrow’s elections have been successfully distributed to respective sub-county NRM election supervisors.
Speaking today at the NRM party offices in Central Division, Kabale Municipality, Ntegyereize noted that previous elections in the district had been marred by fights and misunderstandings.
He urged contestants to resolve disputes amicably and to remember that they are members of the same party.
“Those who win and those who lose should work together to strengthen the party,” Ntegyereize said.
He revealed that the NRM elections team, together with the district security committee led by Kabale Resident District Commissioner Rtd. Maj. Katamba Geoffrey, held a security meeting to ensure peaceful polling. The plan includes deploying security personnel at every polling station to maintain law and order.
The registrar also expressed concern over reports that some LC3 chairperson aspirants for sub-counties and mayoral candidates for town councils had attempted to bribe registrars. He warned that such actions could compromise the integrity of the official voter register and stressed that no one will be allowed to vote unless their name appears on it.
Ntegyereize further stated that polling and election officers went through a thorough training to ensure the process runs smoothly and transparently.
He sternly warned against any form of bribery, as well as campaigning on polling day, reminding aspirants to uphold party discipline and electoral guidelines.
The LC3 elections are scheduled for tomorrow, August 14, 2025.
