September in Uganda is never just another month—it’s a time when the country turns its spotlight on tourism. This year, the celebrations reached their peak on September 5, 2025, with the Grand Finale of Miss Tourism Uganda 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel, an event that blended culture, fashion, and entertainment into one unforgettable night.

The ceremony, held under the theme “I Am My Culture”, brought together contestants from all corners of the country—Buganda, Ankole, Tooro, Bunyoro, Teso, West Nile, Kigezi, Northern and Eastern Uganda. Each region proudly showcased its representatives, who embodied both beauty and cultural identity in an era where tradition constantly meets digital transformation.

By 6:00 pm, guests had already filled the “Soiree” hall, stunning in attires inspired by Ugandan heritage. Some went bold with cultural designs, while others draped themselves in outfits adorned with Uganda’s national colors.

A total of 24 contestants graced the final stage. The rigorous selection process first trimmed them to a Top 10, then to the Top 5, before crowning the final three winners. The tension in the room was palpable during the Q&A session, but those who carried themselves with composure, charisma, and confidence left a lasting mark.

For the very first time, the pageant also introduced the “Man of Tourism International” title, giving male contestants an opportunity to step up as ambassadors for Uganda’s tourism. Eleven young men competed, and after an equally tough process, the best three were crowned. Their presence, styled in sharp brown suits with a traditional kikoyi twist, brought a refreshing balance to a stage that has for years been dominated by queens.

Meanwhile, the ladies dazzled in sparkling white gowns and glamorous cultural ensembles, exuding royalty as they made their iconic pageant waves. A lively music interlude from Jonathan the Diva, whose soaring vocals captivated the audience, added even more magic to the night.

The event was judged by a panel of tourism enthusiasts and professionals, including Derrick Ssenyonyi, Enid Mirembe, Umaru Muwonge, among others, with Richard Tuwangye leading the evening as host.
