She is confirmed as the Duly Elected Mityana Woman MP
sourceOpposition leaders, mostly from NUP are over the moon following the good news from Court of Appeal this morning confirming Joyce Bagala as the elected Mityana Woman Mp as well as a high court retrial order for the Nyanzi Vs Nsereko petition.
Her victory was challenged by Minister Suzan Nabakooba over grounds of bribery during the 2021 general elections.

The court of Appeal overturned the High Court decision that had nullified Bagala’s win on grounds of bribery. Her election win was challenged by Lands Minister Judith Nabakooba last year.
On the other hand, the same Court of Appeal has also ordered for the retrial of the case that Nyanzi Fred Ssentamu filed against Muhammad Nsereko for Kampala Central MP.
