Uganda’s popular entertainment and socio-political commentary show, Talk & Talk, marked 15 years in the media space with a fun-filled anniversary party held at its home on Bulabira Road in Najjeera, Kampala.

The celebration brought together a cross-section of Uganda’s entertainment, media, and corporate worlds to honour the show hosted by veteran journalist Isaac Katende, popularly known as Kasuku.
The event was attended by a host of guests, including musicians Bebe Cool, Navio, The Mith, Coco Finger, David Lutalo, Karole Kasita, Lian, and Kazibwe Kapo. Kasuku’s colleagues in the media, businessmen, and representatives from corporate companies also turned up to celebrate the milestone.

In a nostalgic moment for long-time followers, the show’s first panelists from 15 years ago — Julie Erusa and Claude Muhigirwa, CEO of this website — were in attendance. Also present was Prof. Dr. Joel Isabirye, described as the brain behind the Talk & Talk concept.

Talk & Talk started on Dembe FM before migrating to the Kasuku Live YouTube channel following the closure of the radio station. During the anniversary, Kasuku, alongside his current panelists Edward Ssendikadiwa aka Eddy Ssendi, Jenkins Mukasa, and Batt Badru, took guests through the show’s journey over the past 15 years.

The team thanked viewers, listeners, sponsors, and everyone who has supported the show since its inception. Sponsors and advertisers including I&M Bank, Belaire, Heineken, and Britannia were publicly recognized for their continued support.
Prof. Isabirye commended Kasuku and the entire team for what he called their “authenticity, dedication, consistency, and chemistry” — qualities he said have kept the show relevant for over a decade.

Kasuku’s Talk & Talk has grown into one of Uganda’s most-watched digital talk shows. Broadcasting primarily on the Kasuku Live YouTube Channel, the show covers breaking news, celebrity gossip, and unfiltered cultural and political debates.

Its core focus areas include:
- Entertainment Gossip: Deep dives into the Ugandan music industry, artist drama, and celebrity updates.
- Societal & Political Discourse: Frank discussions on current local events, governance, and public figures.
The show is also known for themed, guest-specific, and milestone episodes — ranging from commemorative anniversaries like this one, to dedicated brand features such as the recent Scientific Edition and Kafeero DNA Edition.

As Talk & Talk enters its 16th year, Kasuku and his team say the mission remains the same: to keep Ugandans informed, entertained, and engaged in the conversations that shape the nation.
